CDIC Automotive Design Competition 2024

On Thursday the 28th of November 2024 CDIC organised their Student Automotive Design Competition This semester, nine single-seat four-wheel cars were fabricated from my module MEEN4006W Automotive Design, all of which passed the practical tests.
Chang’an-Dublin International College (CDIC) of Transportation, founded in 2020, is a joint international college established in collaboration between University College Dublin (UCD) and Chang’an University (CHD).
CDIC's focus is on transportation and particularly the discipline areas of transportation infrastructure, automotive engineering and transportation planning & environmental policy.
The Competition attracted wide attention and the Vice President of Chang'an University, Prof Wen Fan attended the competition and gave an address.
We also established the "Design Studio" located in the atrium of the 4th floor of the CDIC building. This teaching lab greatly supported the design works of MEEN3003W Design 2, MEEN4006W Automotive Design and MEEN4004W Vehicle Structural Analysis.
