It’s been great to see Earth Institute members and associate members featuring across a range of national and international media outlets this week. Gerald Mills (Geography) featured in last weekend’s Sunday Independent discussing the potential implications of the Bus Connects scheme for trees on the proposed routes and impacts on pollution and carbon emissionsEmma Teeling (Biology and Environmental Science) was in the Washington Post talking about research her team has recently published in Nature Ecology and Evolution on an eight year longitudinal study examining bats and ageing (with lead author Huang Zixia); while in the National GeographicGraham Hughes discussed his recently published work with John Finarelli (both Biology and Environmental Science) that uses phylogenetic modelling, ancestral state reconstruction and comparative genomics to understand sense of smell in dinosaurs.
