How to Better Integrate Nature in Cities: Are Serious Games Effective Tools?
This week we're joined by Aura Istrate from the School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy who will be talking about her work using participative methods in urban design and planning. Innovative tools to mainstream nature-based solutions in urban planning are needed for more liveable and climate-ready cities. Serious games can facilitate knowledge exchange and future scenario co-production by involving multiple stakeholders through interactive interfaces. However, measuring what a game can achieve proves difficult. This session touches on the purpose, potential and limitations serious games have when used for better integrating nature in cities.
