We are pleased to announce the following scholarship opportunities for the MSc in Subsurface Characterisation and Geomodelling, for the 2025-26 academic year:
- Up to two full fee-waivers for EU applicants. This is open to applicants who qualify for the EU fee rate (including Irish, other EU and UK applicants).
- Up to two stipends, to the value of €20,000, as a contribution to living expenses for non-EU applicants. This is open to all applicants who qualify for the Non-EU fee rate.
In both cases, applicants must already have applied to the course online and be holding an offer of a place on the MSc.
UCD School of Earth Sciences MSc Scholarship or Stipend applications should be made via email to the MSc course director ((opens in a new window)tom.manzocchi@ucd.ie) and must include transcripts, CV, names of two referees and a personal statement. The scholarships will be awarded by a committee of School of Earth Science faculty on the basis of academic excellence and student fit to the objectives of the MSc. The deadline for applications is April 25th 2025, and candidates will be informed by mid May.
The UCD School of Earth Sciences MSc Stipend does not include a tuition fees scholarship. However, details of UCD tuition fees scholarships for non-EU students are available here. All non-EU applicants to our course are assessed on the basis of their academic record for a UCD International Student Scholarship, which cover part of tuition fees, as part of the application process, and no separate application is required for this. The UCD Global Excellence Scholarships offer 50% or 100% waivers of tuition fees for non-EU application and must be applied for separately.
General details on living costs in Dublin, and other scholarship opportunities, can be found here.
