The Young Irish Economists Seminar Series (YIESS) is a new platform for Economics PhD students and Postdocs based in Ireland to share their research and connect with fellow academics. The monthly, one-hour-long sessions give the opportunity to young researchers to present one of their working papers and receive feedback from other young Irish economists.
The series will begin with Xidong Guo, PhD student from UCD, who will be presenting his paper "Assessing the Outcome of the 2008 Consultants’ Contract Reform in Ireland”. The session will be held Thursday October 6, from 5 to 6pm at the TRiSS seminar room, and will be followed by a snack and drinks at the pub.
The series is co-organized by TCD and UCD PhD students: (left to right) Enrico Cavalloti and Vincent Thorne (TCD), and Prachii Srivastava and Dimitrios Argyros, and Xidong Guo (UCD) pictured above.
