UCD School of Economics MSc Scholarships for Current or Recent UCD BA/BSc Students

The UCD School of Economics is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships for our 2025/26 full-time MSc programmes for current and former UCD Economics students. Those awarded a scholarship will be given a full or partial fee waiver for the programme.

  • One full fee waiver is dedicated to the Athena Swan MSc Economics Scholarship for the women with the highest GPA among recent UCD and EU students admitted to any of our three programs.
  • One full fee waiver is dedicated to the student with the highest GPA  admitted to our MSc in Behavioural Economics. UCD and EU students are eligible for this scholarship.

Who is Eligible?

The awards will be made to either current final-year UCD Economics students or those who graduated with UCD Economics degrees in 2023/24.  We will consider students who are studying for single or joint honours degrees in Economics, Law with Economics, and Economics and Finance as well as last year’s graduates from these programmes. Awards will only be made in cases where students have a GPA of at least 3.68 in their Level 2 and 3 modules in Economics.

What Criteria Are Used to Decide the Awards?

The scholarships will be awarded by a committee of UCD School of Economics faculty.  These merit awards will be based on academic performance in Level 2 and 3 Economics modules at UCD.  We will also consider the amount of Economics modules taken by the student and their level of preparedness for studying for their chosen MSc programme.  All decisions of the awarding committee are final.
