Announcing the commencement of a National Training Programme for Special Needs Assistants, in January 2021.
Minister for Special Education and Inclusion, Josepha Madigan TD, announced the launch of new National Training Programme for Special Needs Assistants. This is the first dedicated national training progamme for SNA's. It is delivered by UCD School of Education and funded by the Department of Education. The new online programme will begin in January 2021 and will consist of five modules delivered over ten months. Making the announcement: Joe Hayes, Chairperson, NCSE, Minister of State with responsibility for Special Education and Inclusion, Josepha Madigan TD, Prof Colin Scott VP for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion UCD and Head of School Assoc Prof William Kinsella.
This comprehensive online programme, commissioned by the NCSE, will be delivered to Special Needs Assistants currently working within the Irish education system.
