Distinguished Graduate Award Ceremony 2019
This year's ceremony took place on Thursday 24th October 2019 at 6pm in the UCD University Club. Every year, the EGA presents Distinguished Graduate Award to a UCD Engineering graduate in recognition of the achievement and outstanding contribution they have made to society. This event is now one of the highlights of the Engineering Graduates Association’s yearly calendar and the practice of awarding an Annual Distinguished Graduate Award commenced in 2002. The EGA President, Mr John Power, was delighted this year to present the 2019 Distinguished Graduate Award to John O'Dea, UCD Engineering Graduate and former CEO of Crospon.
The EGA presented a Lifetime Achievement Award (posthumously) to Michael Loughnane, formerly of E.S.B. and EGA President 2008-2012, to acknowledge his commitment and contributions to industry during his career. The EGA are grateful to the Loughnane family for attending to accept this award on his behalf.
