Introduction

Culture & Engagement and Healthy UCD are delighted, in conjunction with UCD Sport and Fitness, to offer the following classes. Join up, meet colleagues and have some fun while exercising.

Healthy UCD Learn to Swim (Beginner)

This is the seventh programme of learn to swim classes in the UCD Pool for beginners.

Participants from the previous programmes are ineligible.

Healthy UCD Taster Classes

As space is limited this trimester, programmes are only open to those who have not previously participated in Healthy UCD classes. These classes are designed to give you a taste of a new activity.

Tuesday Mindfulness

  • Length of course: 6 Weeks (1 Oct – 5 Nov)

This course is for anyone who wants a structured, practical, and highly accessible introduction to mindfulness. It is appropriate for people new to mindfulness, anyone who has tried mindfulness apps or perhaps read a book and wants the structure of a course led by an experienced teacher. In order to benefit fully, participants will be strongly encouraged to practice short mindfulness exercises daily throughout the 6 weeks. 

Aoife Fitzgerald is a Mindfulness Teacher and Trainer based in UCD and holds a Masters in Mindfulness-Based Interventions in Psychology. Aoife currently teaches on the Mindfulness for Health module to undergraduate students as well as offering regular training opportunities to UCD staff and has delivered Mindfulness training to many community groups and work settings.
