The mission of the (opens in a new window)Menopause Hub is to mainstream menopause by smashing the taboo and destigmatising menopause, so that women can optimise their health and vitality during their menopausal years and can continue to live the life they love. They are an evidenced-based centre of excellence for all things menopause, founded on clinical expertise and built around 3 menopause pillars. They provide:
- Best-in-class clinical care for women experiencing all phases of menopause (premature, surgical, peri and post-menopause) through our multidisciplinary team of doctors, a psychologist, a dietitian & nutritionist and a women’s health physiotherapist.
- Educate and train organisations to become menopause-friendly workplaces
- Advocate on behalf of women for better menopause awareness & education, and for accessible care and affordable treatment.
Menopause in the Workplace Brightspace Course
The "Menopause in the Workplace" online training was designed by the experts "The Menopause Hub" with education, empathy and empowerment in mind to raise awareness about menopause (including perimenopause) and to create a supportive menopause-friendly workplace where everyone feels included, valued and understood. The content relates not just to women, but our gender non-binary and trans colleagues who may also be affected by the menopause.
There are three courses tailored to specific cohorts and you do not have to complete all three.
- If you are a UCD employee, please take the Colleagues Module
- If you are a manager with one or more direct reports, please take the Managers Module
- If you work in Human Resources, please take the HR Module
The UCD Menopause in the Workplace Policy and guidance material should be read in conjunction with the programme.

UCD employees have access to the Employee Assistance Service (EAS) which offers professional counselling sessions available remotely via phone/web during this time. You can also access their online Support Hub, which includes guided self-assessments, self-help courses and digital intervention tools, a well-being database and information library, as well as a mood tracker.
