What is happening:
Between Tuesday 27th and Thursday 29th inclusive car park N2 (O’Reilly Hall) will be closed due to the UCD Entrance Scholars Awards taking place in O'Reilly Hall.
The Entrance Scholar Awards are organised by the Conferring Unit to recognise the calibre of UCDs high achieving students.
The awards are presented to first-year students who achieve 560 points or more in their Leaving Certificate (or equivalent second-level examination) in recognition of their academic accomplishment to date. Over 5,000 people are expected to attend.
Operationally, staff and students who normally drive may wish to consider alternative modes of transport to campus while the Awards are taking place. Access to disabled parking spaces, deliveries and the Dart Shuttle bus will be maintained.
Some alternative modes of transport to campus are noted below:
- UCD-Sydney Parade Dart Shuttle will be operating free of charge during the event
- Additional public transport services serving campus (S4 and S6 routes) were launched in late 2023; (opens in a new window)further detail here
- The (opens in a new window)TFI Live app, available on Android and Apple devices can help plan journeys for all modes of travel.
