Fundraising Campaigns
The vision for UCD is to enrich our students’ educational experience through innovative education, to enhance understanding of their role in Irish society, and to create an authoritative presence in the international community.
The Campaign for UCD: Forming Global Minds brings together fundraising plans for major campus development. Fundraising is almost complete for both the new UCD Science Centre and the .
The Alumni Fund, set up in 2007, builds on the tradition of alumni giving back to the University and, at the same time, creates the cornerstone for our fundraising efforts. Its purpose is to provide resources for students, which will have a direct impact for the duration of their studies at UCD.
The Terrace Graduates Fund, was set up in the same year, as UCD bid Farewell to the Terrace. This fund will ensure the legacy of the Terrace is preserved for successive generations of students.
UCD is currently leading the way to 4th Level Ireland with the introduction of five new graduate schools providing innovative, modular programmes and researcher training of international status. These graduate schools are closely linked to UCD's research institutes and foster collaborative programmes and exchange arrangements with leading universities around the world.
UCD Foundation is committed to playing a leading role in the continuing success of these collaborative programmes. These programmes depend on the recruitment of highly talented, energetic scholars and on financial support from our donors.
These programmes include, the Ad Astra Scholarship Programme, the Newman Fellowship Programme and a range of Sponsored Scholarships and named endowed scholarships generated by the Endowment Fund.
