Palesa Caroline Mphaka

Palesa is a PhD research student at University College Dublin in the NIBRT GlycoScience group. She is currently in the first year of her 4-year PhD programme at UCD. Palesa received a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine from SUA, Tanzania and has recently completed her MSc in Precision Medicine at University College Dublin (2024). Palesa's research focuses on investigating how glycans influence chemotherapy resistance in ovarian cancer using advanced 3D engineered models. This work is supported by the EU HORIZON-MSCA-2022-COFUND scheme through the CÚRAM-MedDevDoc program.
