GAA Handball

GAA Handball involves two or four players (singles or doubles), a ball and a few walls. Although there are variations in the size of the court (60x30 or 40x20 feet, one wall) and the nature of the ball used, the basic object of the game is to defeat your opponent in a contest requiring speed, agility, guile and skill.

About the GAA Handball Club

Training times are 6.15-10.00pm Monday and Wednesday at the Handball Alley in the sports centre, beginners are more than welcome.

The GAA Handball club is one of the oldest established clubs in college and competes both domestically and on the International stage. It is said that the game was first played by UCD students in 1908! Domestically we compete in the Third level competitions and in the Dublin leagues and championships.
