Geary Roundtable: Targeting your Research at Policymakers

You are invited to attend a Geary Roundtable: Targeting your research at policymakers which will take place at the Geary Institute (Geary Seminar Room) on Wednesday 22nd May at 1-2.30pm.

Lunch will be provided for attendees.

Speakers

  • Professor Michelle Norris
  • Professor Orla Doyle
  • Dr Stephan Köppe
  • Professor Karl Whelan

Background:

In November 2023, we ran a survey: Mapping Policy Engagement at the Geary Institute. In the responses that we received, many within the Geary community indicated that they would like to learn more about how members of the Geary community engage with policy and policymaking. As a result, we are organising this roundtable as a peer learning and information session to help members of our research community to learn about ways to engage with policymaking.

At the roundtable, each of the speakers will give a short presentation about their work and how they have engaged with policy, policymakers, and the policymaking process. This will be followed by an audience Q&A.

We look forward to seeing you.
