About Us

Over the past thirty years, Gender Studies at UCD has become one of the most established programmes of its kind in Ireland with a strong international reputation for feminist research, scholarship, teaching and engagement in public policy and activism.

Faculty

Our global faculty come from a range of academic interdisciplinary backgrounds (such as anthropology, history, law, politics, sociology) as well as holding experience, expertise and ongoing engagement in international and national policy and practice, creating a vibrant and rich classroom experience.

Study With Us

We welcome students interested in challenging traditional ways of thinking and knowing. Our programmes equip those who seek to understand and transform gendered relations and to advance gender equality and social and economic justice from local to global levels, with the skills and critical thinking necessary to do so.
