Mary McAuliffe is a historian, lecturer, and Director of Gender Studies at UCD. She specialises in Irish women's / gender history, traumas histories of gendered and sexual violence of Ireland's revolutionary period and histories of sexualities.
I am Associate Professor of Gender Studies and Social Justice UCD. I am also the Associate Dean of Social Sciences UCD with academic responsibility for all social science undergraduate degrees, certificate and diploma programmes including the largest undergraduate degree programme in UCD, BSc Social Sciences.
I am Lecturer/Assistant professor at the School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice, at UCD. My academic research focuses on the intersection of racial, ethnic, and gender identities, racism and anti-racism, transformative peacebuilding, territorial struggles, ethno-racial movements, state multiculturalism, social justice, and historical memory.
I am a medical anthropologist, Assistant Professor in Social Justice at the UCD School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice. I have worked as a researcher and taught at under-graduate and post-graduate levels in a range of academic institutions across several countries, including: Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (Lima, Peru); Georgetown University (Washington, DC, USA), University of the Philippines (Manila, the Philippines).
