UCD staff are invited to apply now for two opportunities for professional development through Una Europa: Staff Week and Live My Life.
Una Europa is an alliance of (opens in a new window)11 partner universities, including UCD, who share the common goal of developing a truly European University of the Future.
Staff Week
(opens in a new window)Uniwersytet Jagielloński w Krakowie in Poland will host the annual Una Europa Staff Week from 21–25 October 2024. Staff Week is open to applications from all professional services staff at UCD. This year’s theme, ‘Embracing AI for Professional Development’, is designed to empower staff with the knowledge and skills to navigate the evolving landscape of higher education in the digital age.
The week consists of a carefully developed programme of workshops, lectures, networking events and cultural activities. The deadline for applications is 3 June. Up to three UCD staff will be selected, and UCD Global will provide support for travel and accommodation. Find out more.
Live My Life
Live My Life is Una Europa’s joint format for blended job shadowing, facilitating exchanges (in person or virtually) between professional staff. The experience provides professionals with the chance to engage in peer-to-peer learning in a transnational context.
This year, applications are invited from UCD staff in ICT, Human Resources, Research Management, or Digital Learning/E-learning. On-site visits of up to one week per person take place between October 2024 and March 2025. Apply in tandem with a peer from a partner university or apply as an individual and get matched with another applicant.
