Universitas 21 is hosting a Mental Health Symposium for all staff in member universities on 21 July at 12:00 midday.

This symposium will bring together global perspectives via a panel discussion featuring Gareth Hughes, lead author on the UK University Mental Health Charter. Other speakers will include Dr Andrew Hoang, a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Hong kong whose research covers the intersections of education, social welfare and mental health systems.
Dr Katherine Strasser Salinas, a researcher and psychologist from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, will also contribute findings from a recent faculty study focused on impacts of the pandemic on mental health as well as career, promotion and productivity. the panel will be chaired by UCD's Professor Barbara Dooley.
This event is open to all staff within U21 member universities and aims to encourage colleagues to consider how they might improve, or start a conversation around mental health practices in their specific work areas.
