UCD staff - apply now for a one- week funded mobility at the Université de Tunis

UCD staff are invited to apply for an opportunity to undertake a one-week funded exchange at the Université de Tunis in Tunisia. The opportunity will be funded through the Erasmus+ Key Action 171 programme.

Erasmus+ Key Action 171 (formerly known as International Credit Mobility) is a strand of the Erasmus+ programme that enables staff and students to undertake mobility periods in non-Erasmus programme countries (largely countries outside of Europe and in the East of Europe). Under this funding stream, funding is available to support a UCD staff member to spend a week on teaching, training, or a combination of teaching and training activities at the Université de Tunis.

About the opportunity

This opportunity is suitable for  faculty whose teaching or research interests focus on or include literature, linguistics, history, culture or arts. However, depending on the response to this call for applications, faculty members with other areas of academic interest may be considered.

The working language of the Université de Tunis is French; therefore, the opportunity is suitable for  staff with French language skills.

The selected member of staff will design their one-week teaching or training programme in collaboration with colleagues at the Université de Tunis and the UCD academic lead for the project, Professor Mary Gallagher. If undertaking a teaching mobility, they will be required to undertake 8 hours of teaching during the week. If undertaking a training mobility, they will be expected to undertake a week of training activities to support their professional development.

The mobility must be completed before 31 July 2025. The timing of the mobility will be agreed between the faculty member and the host institution.

The member of staff selected will receive a stipend of €180 per day for each day of the seven-day mobility plus a travel allowance of €360 to cover flights.
