UCD Welcomes Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand
29 Mar 2018
UCD was delighted to welcome Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Mr Wissanu Krea-nga and leading officials from the Office of the Civil Service Commission to campus on Thursday March 29th.
UCD President, Professor Andrew Deeks, alongside members from the UMT, met with the delegation presented an overview of UCD’s global footprint and engagement with Thailand, highlighting the thematic areas of expertise and academic focus across campus. The meeting allowed for fruitful discussions relating to the opportunities for collaboration and allowed for UCD to reconfirm its continued commitment to support and explore ways of working closely together to foster strong relationships across Thailand.
With UCD’s SE Asian Global Centre based in Malaysia, UCD is continuing to increase attendance at education fairs and explore and realise partner university opportunities across Thailand, and will be again in attendance at the annual OCSC education fair in Bangkok in October. It is envisaged that this visit will help build relations to showcase Ireland and UCD as a fantastic destination for study.
