Pre-Master's Agreement signed between Yangzhou University and UCD

President Xinan Jiao of Yangzhou University led a delegation to UCD in November to sign a university wide pre-master’s agreement. The partnership between Yangzhou and UCD was first established in 2016. This visit deepened links between University College Dublin and Yangzhou University (YZU). Dr Aoife Whelan (Vice- Principal Internationalisation- College of Arts and Humanities) visited Yangzhou University in December 7th to promote the Humanities Pre-Masters Pathway.

 

Professor Alex Evans and Dr James Breen from the UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science first visited Yangzhou University (YZU) in August 2016, with the expression of interest in developing a joint degree. Professor Dolores O’Riordan visited as part of an outbound mission in October 2017. In March 2018 Mr Damien Dempsey visited Yangzhou College of Horticulture to follow up on programme discussions between Professor Owen Doyle and Professor Minmim Maio on the Pre-Masters Pathway.

 

Yangzhou University (YZU) is a key comprehensive university of Jiangsu Province. There are over 33,000 full-time undergraduate students and more than 10,000 postgraduate students in YZU. YZU is open to global exchanges and cooperation to facilitate its further growth and development. Various international and regional academic exchanges and cooperation have been underway to promote further improvement in teaching, faculty enhancement, and talent cultivation. YZU has established exchange and cooperation relations with higher education institutes in more than 20 countries or regions around the globe.
