Calling all UCD students - Una Europa invites you to be part of an unforgettable experience where stories come alive and communities unite. Apply now to take part in the Una Europa Student Congress, 14th to 17th November, in Helsinki (Finland).

Una Europa is an alliance of 11 European universities, including UCD, who share the common goal of developing a truly integrated European University of the Future.

The Una Europa Student Congress is an annual event bringing together students from 11 partner universities across Europe to discuss topics and themes relevant to our student communities. The theme of this year’s Congress is storytelling. What stories have defined who you are? How does your story connect to the communities where you belong? How could your story shape the story of Una Europa?

Across four days of learning, exploring and community-building, you will have an opportunity to share your visions and work with the rest of the Una Europa community.

* Travel to Helsinki University and make new friends from across Una Europa’s 11 partner universities.

* Learn more about yourself by engaging with others’ cultures, backgrounds and life stories.

* Gain practical skills in storytelling, engaging others and teamwork.

* Learn about different models, tools and channels of storytelling.

* Make a real impact on Una Europa and help build a strong foundation for our student community.

* Learn about Una Europa’s other opportunities for students and how you can get involved.

Please note:

1. You must be eligible and available to travel to Helsinki for all 4 days of the Congress: Tuesday 14 to Friday 17 November. If you are unsure of your visa status, please check here: https://um.fi/visa-requirement-and-travel-documents-accepted-by-finland
2. Places are limited. Please note this is a competitive application process. Application does not automatically mean you will be accepted. Students will be contacted week commencing 9^th October with the outcome of their application.
3. Students selected to represent UCD at the Una Europa Student Congress will have their travel and accommodation costs paid for, and assistance will be given to making travel arrangements.
4. If selected, you will be asked to complete a small pre-assignment by the end of October. Students must also commit to attending an organisational meeting with UCD Global staff prior to travel.
5. Attending students will be asked to share their experience with fellow UCD students and with UCD Global staff on their return.
