Life at UCD is not just about lectures and study: there is so much more to being a student at UCD. The Student Centre and the Sport & Fitness Complex provide the most diverse range of student facilities of any university in Ireland.
The Sports Centre has a full range of sports facilities including a 50-metre Olympic swimming pool, two state-of-the-art gym floors, squash courts, handball/racquetball alley, climbing wall, tennis courts and more.
The Student Centre offers a relaxed meeting place for students with a large suite of wellbeing and social facilities including 3D cinema, drama theatre, debating chamber, TV studio and radio pod, medical centre, restaurants and chill zones.
The UCD Global Lounge is a multi-functional space that enables students, staff and the wider UCD community to build connections with each other, and the world around them. Facilities include LED screens, sound system, Nintendo Switch, board games, book swap and a kitchenette for tea/coffee at events. Global Guides are also available to answer queries at the Welcome Desk.
The Library Network has over two million books, over 3,000 quiet reading and study spaces; group study rooms, social learning spaces and the library staff to help you locate resources for assignments.
UCD has the largest wireless network in the country so studying, socialising and working on assignments are all easier at UCD. Students can avail of free wireless coverage on campus including residences. Online services can be accessed 24/7, whether you are at home or abroad, through UCD Connect.
