On Tuesday 4 June, the College of Science and the College of Engineering and Architecture came together to host the 2024 UCD STEM Symposium.
Over 100 research graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from across the two Colleges delivered poster presentations explaining their research, with Teerna Banerjee (School of Biology and Environmental Science) delivering the winning presentation.
In response to the 2023 PGR studentsurvey.ie, only 66% of students reported having frequent opportunities to discuss their research with other research students, and only 56% reported having opportunities to become involved in the wider research community beyond their department. So we love to see initiatives such as these that enhance the University's research culture.
UCD Graduate Studies wishes a warm congratulations to all who took part and particularly to Teerna for taking home the top prize.
