IUA-ANID Scholarship Programme

Introduction

The Irish Universities Association (IUA) and the National Agency of Research and Development of the Republic of Chile (ANID) signed the Agreement for the Advanced Human Capital Programme in 2023 for the purposes of enabling Chilean students to pursue their advanced graduate studies in universities of excellence around the world.

UCD is pleased to have an agreement with the IUA and ANID to provide tuition fee scholarships for PhD programmes. Through this agreement, UCD is able to offer a 10% tuition fee discount to Chilean IUA ANID scholars, with ANID contributing towards the remaining tuition fees. ANID also provides a stipend and covers compulsory international student health insurance fees.

For a comprehensive budget that accounts for all your essential expenses while studying at UCD, it's advisable to plan for an estimated monthly expenditure of between €1,700–€2200. This budget should encompass various key elements, including housing, food, study materials, recreation activities and transportation.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information on living costs in Dublin, we encourage you to visit the (opens in a new window)Numbeo website, which provides real-time data and insights into the cost of living in various cities around the world. This resource can help you make informed decisions about your financial arrangements.
