IEHG Cancer Clinical Academic Directorate - Future Direction
A Cancer CAD discussion forum was held at UCD with attendees mainly from the Mater and St Vincent's hospitals and UCD. Mary Day welcomed all, introducing the forum and spoke about the recent (opens in a new window)Slaintecare RICO announcement. Prof Risteard O'Laoide provided an update on the CaCAD and discussed its roll-out from inception in 2016. Prof Michael Keane spoke to the School of Medicine and St Vincent's involvement with the CAD. Prof Liam Gallagher discussed cancer research at UCD and in particular the Conway Institute. Prof Donal Brennan spoke to the success of the IEHG Gynae Oncology Group in demonstrating significant improvements in service over the last year. Prof Tim Lynch chaired an open discussion on the current and future direction of the CAD. Prof Cecily Kelleher provided response.
