Free 12-Week Stop Smoking Programme
On Campus in UCD Belfield
Healthy UCD, in partnership with the HSE and UCD Student Health, are delighted to announce that a Free 12-Week Stop Smoking Programme will be taking place on the Belfield Campus from Thursday February 13th. The programme is open to ALL on campus - students and staff - and will be delivered in the UCD Village.
What you need to know:
- You can (opens in a new window)register your interest by clicking on the QR code above and UCD Student Health will contact you directly to arrange your initial 1-hr appointment, which can be in-person or online if you prefer
- Appointments are available from 9am-3pm every Thursday and you can register anytime
- Appointments are 1:1 with the HSE Stop Smoking Advisor - the initial appointment is 1hr and follow-ups are 30 minutes
- Free nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) is provided
- Support can also be provided to help you stop vaping (*note: NRT is not provided in this case)
What's involved?
Your Stop Smoking Advisor will help you make a QUIT plan and together you will discuss:
- Your current smoking habits
- NRT
- Your concerns about quitting
- Setting a QUIT date
- How to cope with cravings and withdrawal symptoms
You will also have the opportunity to test your carbon monoxide levels at each appointment to track your progress.
