Manna Closes $30 Million Funding Round
- Funding round was co-led by Tapestry VC and Molten Ventures, with participation from Enterprise Ireland, Coca-Cola HBC, Dynamo Ventures and others to accelerate new locations and partnerships
Manna, the global leader in drone delivery, has announced a $30 million (~€27.8 million) funding round, bringing its total equity funding to over $60 million (~€55.6 million) to scale its operations.
This latest investment was co-led by Molten Ventures and Tapestry VC, with participation from several international institutional investors including, Enterprise Ireland, Coca-Cola HBC, Dynamo VC and Radius Capital.
Manna Air Delivery currently serves 150,000 residents and is rapidly expanding into new European markets. As the only last-mile drone delivery company operating daily at scale in Europe with positive unit economics, Manna is proving its model can scale.
Manna has already flown in the US, Europe, and Ireland and successfully works with partners like Just Eat and DoorDash. Most recently, the company has been testing in Finland, further demonstrating its ability to scale across diverse markets and climates.
Manna, founded in 2019 by serial entrepreneur Bobby Healy, was headquartered initially at NovaUCD and subsequently at NexusUCD for several years.
“This funding allows us to accelerate our mission to make drone delivery the safest, most sustainable, and most convenient choice for communities worldwide,” said Bobby Healy, Founder and CEO, Manna.
“Our technology eliminates road congestion, reduces emissions, and ensures faster, safer deliveries—all while supporting local businesses. From independent retailers like Lindough’s Pizza and Kahuna Pops to well-known Irish brands like Eason’s, Boojum and Eddie Rocket’s, we’re helping merchants reach more customers in a way that’s both efficient and environmentally responsible and just better for communities.”
“We are thrilled to co-lead this round as Manna continues to redefine last-mile delivery,” said Patrick Murphy, Partner at Tapestry VC. “Their operational advancements and global expansion demonstrate the scalability of their model, which is truly transformative for communities and businesses alike. Bobby has assembled a top-class team to execute on this opportunity.”
“We are delighted to follow on our investment in Manna Air Delivery,” said Nicola McClafferty Partner at Molten Ventures, “The timing for widespread adoption of drone delivery in Europe is now, as evidenced by Manna's recent partnerships announcement with Just Eat. We're on the cusp of scaling this innovative technology to transform suburban living with more convenient, efficient, sustainable and safer delivery.”
Anne Lanigan, Divisional Manager, Technology and Services, Enterprise Ireland said, “Enterprise Ireland’s mission is to partner with innovative Irish businesses with the drive and ambition to scale internationally and we are delighted to support this funding round in Manna Air Delivery. Manna has created over 100 high quality jobs in Ireland to date and demonstrates the best of Irish ingenuity combining software and hardware to create real world tech that makes a difference to communities in sustainable and safe food deliveries.
Enterprise Ireland looks forward to continuing to work with Manna, helping them to grow further and expand their reach, strengthening their customer base both domestically and internationally.”
Manna’s drone delivery technology is redefining logistics, not just for food delivery, but also by supporting local businesses and enhancing emergency services.
Since its last funding round in 2021, Manna has achieved remarkable milestones, including over 165,000 flights completed, a 5x year-over-year growth from 2023 to 2024, and marginal delivery costs reduced by over 90% making Manna the first in the industry achieving profitable unit economics. It achieved EU-wide BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) approval in 2023, setting a global standard for drone operations.
Manna’s cutting-edge drone technology delivers orders in under three minutes, 75% faster than traditional methods. With an average flight time of just under 3 minutes Manna eliminates road congestion, reduces CO2 emissions by 85%, and significantly enhances safety. Studies show delivery drivers are far more likely to be involved in road collisions, making drone delivery a safer, greener, and more efficient alternative. Customers can choose convenient drop-off locations like their garden or driveway, with deliveries lowered safely to their garden in recyclable packaging using biodegradable tethers. Manna is transforming last-mile logistics worldwide.
