Vivid Edge Founder Named a 2025 Impact Awardee by Cartier Women’s Initiative

- Tracy O’Rourke is only Irish entrepreneur among nine international awardees

Vivid Edge, an Irish climate action impact company, today announced that Tracy O’Rourke, the company’s founder and CEO has been named a 2025 Impact Awardee by the Cartier Women’s Initiative (CWI), a prestigious international programme that recognises women entrepreneurs driving meaningful social and environmental change.

Tracy is one of nine (9) female entrepreneurs and business leaders from around the world announced as an Impact Awardee and is the only Irish entrepreneur named among the awardees.

The Cartier Women’s Initiative Impact Awards, returning only for its second time since 2020, are dedicated to former CWI fellows whose ventures have demonstrated extraordinary long-term impact aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

Tracy is one of three awardees selected in the Preserving the Planet category, which recognises innovations advancing climate action and environmental sustainability, aligned with SDGs 7, 12, 13, 14, and 15.

Vivid Edge is a recognised leader in the energy efficiency space, helping medium and large organisations transition to low-carbon operations through its distinctive “efficiency-as-a-service” model. The company provides fully funded, turnkey energy upgrades, removing traditional financial and operational barriers for customers. The company’s approach delivers fast-track carbon reductions without upfront capital investment.

Vivid Edge recently relocated its headquarters from NovaUCD to NexusUCD in Dublin and is supported by Enterprise Ireland as a client company.

Kristin Kagetsu, Saathi (India) and Kresse Wesling CBE, Elvis & Kresse (UK) have also been named as Impact Awardees in the Preserving the Planet category alongside Tracy. The other two award categories are Improving Lives and Creating Opportunities.

The 2025 Impact Awards will be officially presented on 22 May 2025, during Expo 2025 which is taking place in Osaka, Kansai, Japan, where Cartier is hosting the Women’s Pavilion.

Each of the nine awardees will receive a $100,000 grant, alongside human capital support and global media visibility.
