Liosanna

Tá lios ar thalamh m’athar agus tá díog uisce timpeall air. Ní threabhann siad an lios ar aon chor mar deirtear nuair a threabhann duine lios baineann rud éigin ait dóibh. Tá lios ar thalamh Mícheál ó hAthaire agus thit duine ina chodladh ann aon oíche amháin agus nuair a dhúisigh sé bhí a lán rudaí timpeall air. Bheir sé ar rón agus ina dhiaidh sin níorbh fhéidir le aoinne é a buachaint ag obair le rón.

Fairy Forts

There is a fort on my father’s land and there is a ditch of water around it. They don’t plough the fort at all because it is said that when a person ploughs a fort something strange happens to them. There’s a fort on Mícheál Ó hAthaire’s land and a person fell asleep there one night and when he woke there were many things around him. He laid his hands on a seal and nobody could beat him at working with seals after that.
