Irish Social Science Data Archive
The Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) maintains and provides access to a vast archive of social science data for research and instruction. Through the ICPSR you can gain access to data from 11,000 studies - with a total of 5.2 million variables in total!
ICPSR advances and expands social and behavioral research, acting as a global leader in data stewardship and providing rich data resources and responsive educational opportunities for present and future generations.
The Irish Social Science Data Archive holds a national subscription to ICPSR (Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research), with funding having been made possible under Cycle 4 of the Programme for Research in Third Level Institutions.
This means that access to the ICPSR is available to all interested staff and students in Irish universities through a campus-based PC at no cost to the user.
To access the ICPSR database, please set up a MyData account from a campus-based PC.
Please note that this service is not available off campus. If you encounter any problems in accessing this service, please contact ISSDA.
