Telephone system upgrade

The Avaya telephone system will soon be upgraded to the latest version of software helping to maintain the stability and security of the system. The upgrade project will take place between 10  February and 1 March 2024. During this time there will be several outages to the telephone system (both handsets and softphones). We will endeavour to keep these outages to a minimum and where possible, work will be done outside of normal working hours.

However, during this period there is an increased risk of disruption to the phone system and from time to time there may be features of the system that will not be working or that may generate an alert message on handsets and softphones. Please note that while there may be alerts on the devices the core function of making and receiving phone calls should not be impacted, other than stated outages.
