Updated Targeted Communications Default Mail Category

The Targeted Communications System (TCS) default mail category design has been updated to make it more consistent with the branding used on UCD websites. The update to the default mail category was applied on Wednesday 4 October.  At this stage it is likely that you have already sent or received mails using the new layout. 

It is still possible to replace the default header image and title bar with a custom image by adding an image URL to the Email Header field when composing a message in TCS. If you find that your content overflows the container of the new layout when pasting content into the editor or using some mail templates saved in TCS, this may be because the styles or table width attributes in the HTML that define a width, is greater than the width of the email container. Edit the HTML to remove these styles and width attributes, or you can paste your content as plain text (Ctrl+Shift+V) and format it with the TCS editor. 

Tip: It’s a good idea to send yourself a test email to ensure it displays correctly before issuing your email.
