Overview

Zoom is the virtual classroom used in UCD's Brightspace. It enables real-time interactions with teachers and classmates, making lessons more engaging despite the physical distance. Features like screen sharing and virtual whiteboards help instructors present materials clearly and interactively. Breakout rooms allow for group work and discussions, promoting collaboration among students. Additionally, the ability to record sessions is useful for reviewing and studying, ensuring that no important information is missed. Overall, Zoom provides an effective virtual classroom environment that supports active learning and student engagement.

Zoom can be accessed directly from within Brightspace modules via the My Class menu in the navigation bar. It is a real time web conferencing tool which is  used to support teaching delivery.
