UCD Center for Japanese Studies hosts “Matcha Café e Yōkoso! (Welcome to Japanese Matcha cafe)” with the Multicultural Employee Network of UCD (MENU)

Ms Nobuko Ijichi (UCD Centre for Japanese Studies) and Dr Naonori Kodate (School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice) gave an online session “Matcha Cafe e Yōkoso! (Welcome to Japanese Matcha Café)” as part of the Multicultural Employee Network of UCD (MENU) Cultural Café Series on Friday 20 August 2021.
The session covered a wide-ranging topics including the history of matcha, Sadō (the way of tea), tea products, and how to enjoy a Matcha Latte and different matcha sweets. The session combined a slide presentation, quizzes and demonstrations, attracting a lot of interesting questions and animated interactions.
