Welcoming Mr Yusuke Suzuki (JAXA) as Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the UCD Centre for Japanese Studies (March 2022)

Director of the Chief Engineer Office at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), Mr Yusuke Suzuki has joined the Centre for Japanese Studies in UCD as a Visiting Senior Research Fellow.
Mr Suzuki studied Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering at the University of Tokyo. After graduating in 1984, he joined JAXA. For the last 38 years, he has been working in a variety of senior roles as a scientist focused on space transportation systems.
He has led many space projects including the H-II/H-IIA rockets and HTV Project which is an un-manned visiting vehicle for the International Space Station (ISS).

Given the Centre’s focus on interdisciplinarity and strengths in collaborations among arts, humanities, social and natural sciences, we are delighted to welcome Mr Suzuki as our Vising Senior Research Fellow and very much looking forward to working with him.
