He is also Programme Director of digital manufacturing (Advance Centre). He designed and developed Industrial Data Analytics Micro-credential for professional learners and Industrial Automation for the MEngSc Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing programme.
Dr. Zeinali is one of two Irish management committee representatives on COST Action CA23107 - Network for Evidence Synthesis in The Agri-Food Sector (EU-NESA). He was the lead PI at Dairy Processing Technology Centre (DPTC) to develop initial adaptive processing models/tools such as predictive data analytics models in dairy sector. Dr. Zeinali also worked and collaborated with the Synthesis and Solid State Pharmaceutical Centre (SSPC) in various projects, such as MOMEnTUM and Scale-up Systems, in the field of process modelling and optimisation. Additionally, he is involved in European projects, such as VRSafe, focusing on AR/VR-based tools for sustainable and human-centric manufacturing.
In the realm of academia, he has published extensively in high-impact journals on topics ranging from tool wear prediction and surface roughness modelling to the integration of machine learning and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in manufacturing processes. His work on digital twins and advanced numerical methods has been particularly influential, offering new insights and methodologies in the field of smart manufacturing. He has published over twelve research articles in international peer-reviewed journals, two granted patents, six invention disclosures, a book chapter, and a review article with over 470 citations and h-index of 10.
