Implementing Wind Technology in Urban Settings and Facilitating Cutting Edge Renewable Energy Research

Following investigations into small scale renewable energy solutions, that could easily be integrated into the urban context and the public sector, the second semester considered a more drastic approach to large scale renewable energy implementation. With the rapid progression of climate change, the public sector scenario of what universities could look like in the future was researched. This involved using UCD as a precedent to challenge the norms of wind energy and to see how universities could play their part in the fight against climate change, by both producing their own power and facilitating future renewable energy design.
