Language for Life Workshops
From March to May, eight language support workshops are being run in UCD, for Leaving Cert and 5th year students. These are tutored by final-year language students, across French, German, Spanish and Italian, and are on-campus and online. The initiative is aligned with the UCD Languages for Life programme, and generously supported by Languages Connect.

Many thanks to all our wonderful Languages Connect tutor-ambassadors for all their energy, enthusiasm and hard work in our Saturday workshops, as well as in Ringsend and Tallaght.

I found my work as part of the Languages for Life tutoring programme to be extremely satisfying and thoroughly enjoyable. Not only did I feel as though I benefitted the students' understanding of and confidence in their chosen language, but I was also able to help foster new friendships within the tutoring group and saw the students grow closer as friends every week. The atmosphere in the classes was one of great interest for languages, of curiosity and of inclusivity and it was a pleasure to be able to gain teaching experience in such a warm and welcoming learning environment.
