UCD Lyons Dairy Calf Education and Research Facility: Development Completed

Designed using the best national and international knowledge in calf housing, it incorporates state-of-the-art infrastructure and precision agriculture technologies. The facility will be fully operational in Spring 2025, with the arrival of the first dairy calves.

FBD Holdings and FBD Trust have pledged a philanthropic contribution of €6m in support of the facility and UCD is providing €8m to bring the combined investment in UCD Lyons Farm to €14m.

Agriaware Lyons Farm Walk and Talk was back for another wonderful year. It was a wet wet day at Lyons Farm but that did not stop the students from having a great day and in fact many laughed that it gave them a real taste of farm life!
