The mission of the School of Mathematics and Statistics is the creation, discovery, dissemination and education of Mathematics and Statistics, in all aspects. To accomplish this mission we are involved in many activities that utilize our expertise, which include conducting internationally recognized research, teaching Mathematical and Statistical Sciences courses in a broad spectrum of programmes, and performing service for UCD, for the citizens of Ireland, and for our colleagues in the worldwide Mathematical and Statistical Sciences professions.
