Investigator Awards from Science Foundation Ireland (28/01/13)
Two members of the School of Mathematical Sciences received Investigator Awards from Science Foundation Ireland, announced on 24 January 2013. Professor Nial Friel received an award to pursue research in "Advances for the probabilistic analysis of network data" and Dr Miguel Bustamante received support for his project "Genesis and Development of Extreme Events in Fluids". These awards are two out of a total of four awards in the mathematical sciences in all of Ireland.
