Abstract
Gravitational Wave Astronomy is an emergent area that aims at discovery in astrophysics and cosmology through the detection and study of gravitational radiation from different astrophysical objects. In this talk I will review the basics of Gravitational Wave Astronomy and will describe some of the most exciting discoveries that low-frequency gravitational wave detectors like LISA can achieve.

(This talk is part of the Applied and Computational Mathematics series.)
