Abstract
In this talk I will describe the challenges associated with modelling realistic neutron stars in general relativity. The development of such models is motivated by the needs of gravitational-wave "astronomy". I will describe why we have to consider multi-fluid systems, what this means for the models and how our understanding of this problem has developed in the last few years.
