Abstract
Generalized modular functions are functions holomorphic on the complex upper half-plane and meromorphic at the cusps that satisfy the usual definition of a modular function of weight zero, with the sole exception that the character need not be unitary. Such functions e.g. occur naturally in rational conformal field theory in physics. We will study the Fourier coefficients of generalized modular functions.
