Abstract:
The optimal design and operation of energy systems involve making decisions. In recent decades, this process has become more complicated because of smart grids, energy markets, integration of energy systems, increasing the penetration level of renewable energy resources and etc. The idea of using mathematical techniques to deal with different types of uncertainties will be discussed in this talk. Some novel techniques and applications will be presented.
