Abstract:
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a group of disorders related to the heart and blood. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), 17.5 million people die every year due to some form of CVD. Asymptomatic vascular damage accumulates for years before patients are identified and subjected to therapeutic measures. Early identification of molecular changes will help the prevention of the disease. This talk will cover different statistical methods used for biomarker discovery in CVD.
