This medal is named for John Casey (1820–1891), a UCD mathematician known for his contributions to geometry.
This prize is awarded to the student who obtains first place in BSc Mathematics, either single or joint honours, provided they have also achieved first class honours (stage GPA of 3.68 or more).
Winner 2022 - 2023: Ciara Murphy
This medal commemorates Arthur W. Conway (1875-1950), Professor of Mathematical Physics in the University, Registrar (1908-1940) and President (1940-1947). Professor Conway was a Fellow of the Royal Society and a member of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences and President of the Royal Irish Academy (1937-1940). He made fundamental contributions to electromagnetism, relativity, atomic physics, quantum mechanics, partial differential equations and in the applications of quaternions.
The prize is awarded to the student who obtains First Class Honours (3.68 GPA or higher) in the BSc Honours Degree and who obtains the highest average mark in five of their Stage 4 modules in Applied & Computational Mathematics. In the event of a tie, the school can decide to award the scholarship to the student with the higher Stage GPA.
Winner 2022 - 2023: Adam Keyes
This prize commemorates William McFadden Orr, MRIA, FRS, formerly Professor of Pure and Applied Mathematics in University College Dublin. Professor Orr made fundamental contributions to the understanding of the stability of fluid flow.
The prize is awarded to the student who obtains First Class Honours (3.68 GPA or higher) in Level 1 modules in Applied & Computational Mathematics and obtains 1st Place in their Applied & Computational Mathematics core modules within the 1st Academic year. In the event of a tie, the school can decide to award the scholarship to the student with the higher Stage GPA.
Winner 2022 - 2023: Andrew Leader
The prize is awarded to the student who obtains First Class Honours (3.68 GPA or higher) in Stage 2 modules in Applied & Computational Mathematics and who obtains 1st place in four or their core Applied & Computational Mathematics modules within the 2nd academic year.
Winner 2022 - 2023: Brendan Alinquant
This prize was established in memory of Fr Ciaran Ryan, a leading authority on weak interactions of elementary particles, who taught Theoretical Physics in UCD until his death in a climbing accident in 1973. The prize is awarded to the candidate who obtains First Class Honours (3.68 GPA or higher) in Stage 3 modules in Applied & Computational Mathematics and who obtains the highest average mark in five core Applied & Computational Mathematics modules within the 3rd academic year. In the event of a tie, the school can decide to award the scholarship to the student with the higher Stage GPA.

Susquehanna International Group award an annual prize to the student who obtains the highest mark in the module.
Winner 2022 - 2023: Rhys Willis
Zurich Life offers annually a prize of €500 on the results of the examination of Level 2 BAFS examination in Fundamentals of Actuarial and Financial Mathematics. In the event of a tie, the school can decide to award the scholarship to the student with the highest percentage mark in the modules.
Winner 2022 - 2023: Mark Britchfield
New Ireland offers annually a prize on the results of the CB2 subjects in Actuarial and Financial Studies.
Winner 2022 - 2023: Emmanuel Safo-Ankoma
This prize will be awarded based on the results of the BAFS degree examinations. The prize will be awarded to the student who obtains the highest marks on the combined results of the examinations in Actuarial Mathematics (Life Insurance and Pensions), Applied Actuarial Statistics and Financial Economics, provided an honours degree has been obtained.
Winner 2022 - 2023: Laoise Collins
Willis Towers Watson offer annually a first prize of €400 and a second prize of €200 based on the Level 3 Actuarial and Financial Studies course in Survival Models.
Winners 2022 - 2023: Cliodhna Breen (1st Prize) and Arthur Collins (2nd Prize)
This prize is awarded based on employer review arising from their BAFS Work Placement module in Level 3 Actuarial and Financial Studies.
Joint winners 2022 - 2023: Ada Bowler and Alexandra Bradley
This prize will be awarded on the results of the level 1 examination in Irish or a foreign language module in the Actuarial and Financial Studies degree programme.
Winner 2022 - 2023: Iona Young
This prize will be awarded on the results of the combined level 2 Actuarial and Financial Studies Examinations in the CS1 subject.
Winners 2022 - 2023: Mark Britchfield (1st Prize) and Jessica White (2nd Prize)
SCOR offers annually a first prize of €500 on the results of the CS1 subject. Awarded to MSc or Grad Dip Actuarial students.

Milliman offer annually a first prize of €500 based on the module Stochastic Models. In the event of a tie, the school can decide to award the scholarship to the student with the highest percentage mark in the module.
