Road Safety Strategy 2021-2030

The Road Safety Strategy 2021-2030 includes two actions associated with Alcohol interlocks, these are,

Action 23: Establish a working group to consider and make recommendations for the implementation of an alcohol interlock programme, supported by a drink drive rehabilitation course in Ireland, for high-risk drink drive offenders.

and

Action 119 Approve and test alcohol ignition interlock.

The Medical Bureau of Road Safety is responsible for action 119.
